Love Your Body Day 7 – Pamper Yourself!

You guys. I am seriously blown away by your growth and commitment to the Love Your Body series! I get a little choked up just thinking about how many of you have really put in the effort this past week to love the skin you’re in. You have no idea what it means to me when you tell me that MY words are inspiring you. Just like any human being, there are days when I doubt myself. I am constantly analyzing the content I put out on Life in Spandex. I wonder if people resonate with my message, if it matters to them, if they are getting anything out of my content. The feedback I’ve gotten over the past seven days has made me emotional. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. I feel so much joy knowing I can help make a difference in your life!

Being healthy and fit is so much more than going to the gym and counting calories. It is a feeling, a lifestyle, and something to share with others. It’s not calculated by the scale, how much weight you can lift, miles you can run, or by how small your waist is. It’s defined by that feeling when you realize you can power through a really hard set of squats, nourish your body with a healthy meal, finish daily tasks without pain or discomfort, and have the energy to excel at work, enjoy time with your loved ones, and explore your passions. I hope you continue to nurture your relationship with your body after these seven days are over.

It’s Valentine’s Day! I don’t care if you’re single or married, you deserve to be pampered today. Show your body some love with a relaxing massage, mani/pedi, delicious home cooked meal, a soothing bubble bath, night out at your favorite restaurant, a rich dark chocolate truffle, or anything else your heart desires!

My dream is to create a community here at Life in Spandex of like-minded, strong, positive women where we can all share our experiences with health, fitness, and life in general. It’s so important to have support and love around you. Please don’t be shy.   1. Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day! Super cute picture of you and your love :). I’m all for pampering but I think the closest to that I did on Vday was banana chocolate pancakes for dinner and The Bachelor lol. Hey, my husband watches too! lol.

  2. I pampered myself by taking a nap! And while my kids interrupted a couple times, it was still great!

  3. We had a wonderful day full of laughing and we went to play arcade games because it was so cold here. With my birthday so close to Valentine’s day this whole week feels like a pampering session =)

  4. I finally got back into the gym yesterday it wasn’t easy but I was so glad did. I’m off today and we are celebrating Valentine’s Day tonight but my game plan until then is to find a new outfit for the first day of my new job and then take a nice bubble bath I’ll probably do some work on my e-course but I just want to relax today

    I’m so happy and blessed to witness you doing your soul’s work, creatively reaching out and changing people’s lives day by day. You have always been “all heart” so today is really your day!!!!
    Today I pampered myself by going to one of our fav haunts for lunch, Whole Paycheck ( oops I mean Foods!) and later did a yoga class.

    1. Maybe once the toddlers go to bed you can give yourself 10 minutes of “me” time. Enjoy a cup of tea or dark chocolate and just be 🙂

    So genius! I guess I would say, I love my dedication to fitness in my life. Like you – it’s a lifestyle and has really made me a much happier person.
