Love Your Body Day 3 – Flaunt What Ya Mama Gave Ya

Today, I want you to flaunt what you got! We are going to celebrate some of the five features you chose on Day 1. If you love your booty, wear your favorite jeans that really show off your curves. If you love your eyes, play them up with mascara and a little extra eyeshadow. If you love your arms, go sleeveless. If you love your lips, break out your red lipstick from the 12 Days of Fitness Challenge!

You don’t have to amp up all five traits, choose your top two or three. Girl, get ready for some confidence-boosting compliments! When we feel good about our bodies, it shows from the inside out. Have you ever met a woman and couldn’t stop looking at her because there was something so glowy about her? That wasn’t her skin-regimen, that was her confidence! Sass it up!

My dream is to create a community here at Life in Spandex of like-minded, strong, positive women  where we can all share our experiences with health, fitness, and life in general. It’s so important to have support and love around you. Please don’t be shy. Share with me and other Life in Spandex readers how you got all fancy today! Sharing what you love about yourself doesn’t make you vain, it makes you empowering! You can either leave a comment here on this blog post or share a photo or status update on InstagramTwitter, or Facebook. Health and happiness,

Hi and welcome to Life in Spandex! I'm Emily, a personal trainer who believes there should be no secrets standing in your way to getting fit. I am sharing my knowledge here on this blog in order to help you reach your goals. Fitness should be fun, eating healthy should taste good, and feeling your absolute best is the ultimate goal. Let's get fit together!
  1. I think I just need to go buy some new clothes. Very few items I have make me feel good. Especially work clothes. Does anyone else have that problem? Their work clothes make them feel frumpy? Thanks for the encouragement.

    1. Clothes can definitely help! I love fabletics, lululemon, Lorna Jane, Lucy, and even target for workout clothes!

  2. Love this !!! I’m always comfortable in whatever.

    1. Thanks Lacy!! Time to flaunt 😉

  3. You look fantastic! 🙂

  4. Nothing really special today. Just my favorite pair of jeans and a t-shirt. But I do look good in them!

    1. Get it girl! I think simple is so sexy!

  5. I am obsessed with this blog… I will definitely be keeping up with the things you put out!

    1. Seriously?! I’m smiling so big right now. This means so much to me! 😀

  6. I love this! I didn’t do anything specific today (only just now reading this!) but I LOVE my booty and I did wear a sassy wedding dress that showed it off 🙂 Thanks for the boost of encouragement today!

    1. Girl after my own heart ;). You’re so welcome Grady!! Keep a look out for tomorrow’s challenge!

  7. It’s so funny to me that this is today’s post because coincidentally, I decided I’d wear some eye shadow when I usually wouldn’t. I think this is a great way to think – playing up that great feature, and helps with confidence

    1. Get it Shelly!!! Love that you’re already celebrating your beauty 🙂

  8. Thank you, Emily, for the encouraging “Love Your Body” Day 3 blog! I definitely needed it after yesterday’s disappointment on the scale. I’ve amped up the calories to 1450-1500 a day as you suggested and added a slice of whole wheat toast to this morning’s soft boiled egg routine. As Helen Reddy (look her up in your history books) said “I am Woman, hear me Roar!!” I’m roaring to get physically strong and mentally psyched. How can I fail with your your encouragement? Thanks!!

    1. Yes we got this! Let’s get that metabolism revving again ?. My favorite type of bread is sprouted wheat or any Ezekiel brand bread. They’re the least processed :). Oatmeal is also a great breakfast grain.
