Good morning beautiful! Every #WorkoutWednesday during the Summer Shape Up Series, I will be posting a NEW workout to keep things fresh. We're three days in to the first week. How are you feeling?? Today, we are sculpting and shaping toned arms to rock during the warmer months. Pull out your halter, strapless, and tank tops! You're going to want to show off your guns after this workout. A combination of small, isometric, and big movements will target even the littlest muscles in your arms! Think sculpted shoulders, lean biceps, and toned triceps. Sounds good, right? Don't be fooled by the light weight recommendations, this "do anywhere" workout burns! Check in with me once you've finished your workout by commenting below or posting on social media
When Juicy J wrote the lyrics, "Bands that make her dance" little did he know he was referring to resistance bands! ;). This little piece of equipment is one of my secrets for creating a rounder, perkier booty. And that is definitely something to dance about! Resistance bands are a quick and portable way to take your traditional body weight exercises up a notch without stepping foot into a gym! This workout transforms typical booty exercises into muscle-building, fat-burning machines. Bring on the results, baby! Want to take the calorie burn up a notch? Stand on an unbalanced surface like the sand, a padded mat, or pillow. Your core and stabilizing muscles will have to work twice as hard! Complete
Break out those sleeveless tops, ladies - spring is upon us! I love the spring. I feel refreshed, motivated, and inspired. Something about the smell in the air after an April shower, the beautiful colors of bloomed flowers and growing trees, and the mild heat paired with a light breeze gets me into my groove. I feel the most beautiful and feminine when the sun is shining and my clothes are flowy and a little more, well, revealing. Whether you're a halter top kinda gal, ready to rock a sexy strapless ensemble, or in love with a classic tank, having firm arms and sculpted shoulders can make you feel so much more confident. But, who has the time to spend hours in the gym in
The New Year is definitely in full swing! The gym has been much busier lately and buzzing with energized New Year resolutions. (Hence why blog content is coming at ya just once a week this month). I just hope it sticks for more people than it did last year! I think one reason why so many New Year resolutions dwindle by February is because people tend to take on too much too fast. Motivation is going to be at its highest when you take on a new goal. However, within just two to three days, the fatigue and DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) will start to kick in and the idea of going back to sweat it out again becomes
Feeling a little bit... fluffy? I'll be the first to admit that I enjoyed the holidays thoroughly, indulging way more than I normally do. I don't stress about a little bloating, water weight, or extra "fluff" because I created timeless memories. Plus, I know how to help my body bounce back quickly! During the last couple weeks of December I let myself enjoy holiday desserts, champagne, refined carbohydrates full of gluten and cheese, and sometimes sleep in instead of working out. But I'm over it! I started to feel a change in my energy levels, my skin broke out, my productivity dwindled, and my pants felt a little tight. I knew it was time to get back to my normal clean diet, sleep patterns, and workouts.
