In my experience, there’s no better feeling than making another person feel good about themselves. Helping someone smile a little bigger, stand a little taller, laugh a little harder, and find a little more confidence in themselves is an instantaneous way to share love and empowerment. I mean, that’s why I became a personal trainer and started this blog in the first place!
Today, I want you to look outside of yourself. Sometimes the easiest way to feel good about our bodies is to take the concentration off of our own progress and give back to others. Give at least one other person (either on this blog or in person) a direct compliment or even just a smile today. This person can be a friend or a compelte stranger! Really feel their reaction. You never know what someone else may be going through. Your kind gesture could be the interaction that turns their day, heck month, maybe even year around!
Even if you’re feeling down and out today, like I’ve said before, fake it ’til you make it! We attract the energy we put out. One of the reasons I love my job so much is my clientele. They have spunk, drive, passion, compassion, and are a hoot to talk to! When I’m not feeling like my normal bubbly self, as soon as I get to work, it’s my clients that turn my day around. Many of them have become more than clients to me. They are my friends; people I truly care about. I honestly believe that my positive energy is the reason why I have such an awesome group of men and women in my training circle. You, too, can cultivate positivity! All you got to do is put your own beautiful smile out there. 🙂
My dream is to create a community here at Life in Spandex of like-minded, strong, positive women where we can all share our experiences with health, fitness, and life in general. It’s so important to have support and love around you. Please don’t be shy. Share with me and other Life in Spandex readers how you spread love today!
