If you’re a busy #bossbabe (which I believe you are!), then you know how conquering the world can be overwhelming. From deadlines, mommy duties, fitness goals, to relationships, we can have a lot on our plate. If you’ve read this blog before, you know I refer to a phrase my dad taught me in high school, “Stress is optional.” Trust me when I say sometimes this is SO much easier to say than done. There are moments (admittedly frequent moments), where I feel totally in over my head. Don’t believe me? You may have tried a million times to get on a workout and healthy eating schedule. Try and then give up because 1) working out and planning meals took up too much of your time 2) you felt like you had to remove yourself from your favorite social outings to fit its rigid diet, 3) the workouts were over-complicated or totally boring, 4) the whole idea of changing your habits totally stressed you out. Hands up if you feel like your muscles get super tight in winter? Mine are raised oh so high. My body definitely prefers warmer weather (cue all the non-Californian readers rolling their eyes haha). Pull out your yoga mat, some relaxing tunes, maybe even light a couple of holiday candles, and give your muscles the TLC they deserve. It's Meal Prep Day! I always prep my meals on Saturday or Sundays to make sure I'm fueling properly throughout my busy workweek. Take a couple hours to prepare some lean protein and whole grains, chop some fresh fruit, cook some vegetables, hard boil some eggs, and prepare healthy snacks for on-the-go.
