Does a day exist without chocolate? Probably not. I take pride in regularly fitting in my Vitamin C while staying on top of my fitness goals. I love sharing my healthy sweet treat secrets with you and today I’ve got a good one up my sleeve.
These Dark Chocolate Protein Muffins have a twist. They gluten-free, grain-free, sugar-free, and stacked with 20 g of protein per muffin. They also have a secret beauty and health ingredient to help your hair grow longer, nails and bones grow stronger, and skin glow brighter and look firmer. I snuck my new favorite Further Food Collagen Peptides into the recipe! (Pst… Use code: LIFEINSPANDEX for a discount on your order).
I’ve been using Further Food Collagen Peptides for the past few months and I’m loving the results. My hair has never been longer or healthier, my nails are unbreakable, my skin feels firm and smooth, and it’s been helping with my joints (very important as I battle chondromalacia patella). It also helps me recover quicker from my workouts. You can read more about its benefits here. I usually put it in my coffee along with a spoonful of maca powder. But I heard you can also bake with it (and still reap the benefits). You don’t have to tell me twice!
As if these muffins weren’t already packed with superfoods, I also used cacao powderinstead of cocoa powder. Cacao is packed with anti-aging antioxidants like polyphenol, energy boosting magnesium, flavonols for heart health, the “bliss molecule” anandamide, and it helps lower blood pressure and balance your hormones (goodbye monthly mood swings. Well maybe not entirely, but it’ll help!).
Ready to dig in? Me too!
Meal prep tip: Make a batch on Sunday and pack them for quick, on-the-go breakfast or snacks!
