    1. In large amounts, yes. Your body can’t store alcohol like it does food. So it must metabolize it right away which means other metabolic processes suffer. Your body won’t metabolize sugars and fats as efficiently during the metabolism of alcohol. This means your body is not processing the food you’re eating during or after drinking as well.

  5. I have insulin resistance and take meds for my inderactive thyroid. I struggle with my weight even though I work out daily and eat healthy.
